Lets start with a bang

This might seem like a severe or over exaggerated statement to most, but is it really?

Rushing around like a chicken with it’s head cut off (violent image intended) hurts both you and the people around you. It hurts you on so many levels, two of which being your mind and your body. When you are consistently rushing your mind literally becomes fractured. And to top it off, if you are not able to get a good night’s sleep after your day of stressing around, your mind will never have to opportunity to heal itself properly, causing the probability of more permanent damage. You also hurt your body by being so busy that you forget to eat and drink or don’t give yourself the chance to do it properly. If you don’t mind the damage to yourself, think about those around you. When you are not in the moment with those you care for you not only miss important warning signs about how they are really doing/feeling, but you also send the message that they are not important. So next time you catch yourself in a marathon day of rushing, stop for a minute and think to yourself “is it really that important?”
